Connemara Seaweed Baths
Connemara Seaweed Baths, opening this Easter in
Leenane, will offer the only salt water seaweed baths in Connemara.
Saltwater is essential for the release of concentrated
iodine and minerals which act as natures purest moisturiser, helping
to reduce tension and aches, while improving circulation and general
well being. After an hour of submersion in amber water, hair and
skin are revitalised and silky soft. The salt water also gives
a feeling of weightlessness and allows flotation.
Salt water from the roaring Atlantic combined with
local brown wrack, which has the highest mineral content of any
seaweed, awaits bathers with stunning views from baths overlooking
Killary Harbour and its majestic mountains.
Popular with walkers after long hikes and climbs,
the baths provide a serene holistic treatment, soaking in baths
full of seaweed - the oldest family of plants on the planet.
Price: €20 per bath including steam room and sauna
